PowerPoint Substitutes
Google Open Office has a PowerPoint substitute. Free.
Prezi is another free PowerPoint substitute.
I've used Prezi, it does have a learning curve! Haven't used the OpenOffice substitute, but I would imagine it closely mimics PowerPoint and isn't much different in appearance. The advantage to OpenOffice is: if you know how to use PowerPoint, you'll be able to use OpenOffice

Today's schools have a tremendous opportunity and responsibility to help students achieve academically and prepare for their futures in the 21st century. Aligned to the newly updated National Educational Technology Standards for Administrators ( NETS.A), we need to come up with resources that helps educators develop an actionable plan for introducing new technology, managing change, and building support across the school community and beyond. Possibly using tools like:
